Equipment

  • Oven

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups All-purpose Flour
  • ½ Cup Wheat Flour
  • 3 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ¾ Cup Honey
  • ¼ Cup Butter unsalted – (melted)
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Orange zest
  • ½ Cup Almonds Finely chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. Grease and flour a 9 x 5 loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl combine the egg, milk, honey, and orange zest and mix well. I used a whisk to combine everything together.
  • In another bowl, sift the flour, salt, and baking powder.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until smooth.
  • Add the nuts and stir to combine.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 50 – 60 minutes or until the toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. It took about 55 minutes for me.
  • Cool the Honey Nut Bread on a rack completely before slicing.
