This 3 Ingredient Banana Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie works especially great when you have a sweet tooth and are looking for something to eat as an after-dinner snack.

This week I am doing one of my favorite themes for BM and it is the 3 ingredients recipe. I simply love working with minimal ingredients. This 3 Ingredient Banana Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie is a delicious and healthy twist on the classic chocolate chip cookie recipe.

I would not just make these 3 Ingredient Banana Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies as a dessert because this will be a great choice for breakfast and snacks as well. It has no added sugar and you can use any chocolate of your choice.

We could skip the chocolate and use raisins in place. I was thinking of adding raisins, but my boys wanted the chocolate and hence I changed the plans and made it with chocolate instead.

It would help to use a very ripe banana for this 3 Ingredient Banana Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies. I am sure we all have a couple of them hanging from our fruit baskets. At least I do, most of the time. I end up freezing them to make smoothies or make Banana Bread.

If you want to skip the bananas and make cookies with oatmeal and chocolate, then check out this soft oatmeal chocolate chip cookies recipe.

I used quick oats and semi-sweet chocolate chip cookies. The mini chocolate chip would have worked great for the smaller-sized cookies that I made. Butterscotch chips or peanut butter chips are also good alternatives to use.

  1. This looks like a delicious snack. We tend to have all sorts of bananas around the house that are on the edge. Then, of course, my wife packs them in the freezer until we decide to go on a banana bread binge. These cookies will be a nice new snack to use the bananas on.

Also, as a guy who is continually trying to watch my figure, these look great for an easy or on-the-go breakfast or snack. The chocolate is great, as it adds a bang of sweetness to the mix, but is not so over the top to be terrible for a person.

    Great recipe!
